Chery Auto Philippines is wasting no time letting the public know that it has a new and improved B-segment crossover.

Just last week, the automaker announced that the first batch of the 2024 Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid has already arrived in the country. Moreover, they have also revealed the prices and variants of the soon-to-be-revealed crossover. The hybrid version will sell for PHP 1.140 million while the non-hybrid variant will have a sticker price of PHP 940,000.

At the time, the automaker was still coy about the vehicle’s specs and features. That changes today as the automaker reveals the features and amenities of the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid.

Starting with the exterior changes first, it now gets the “Sunshine Galaxy” grille derived from the Tiggo 7 Pro. According to the automaker, the grille not only gives the crossover a sportier look but also improves engine cooling while it’s running. The grille is then complemented by a new set of LED headlights and LED daytime running lights. Last but not least are the stylish 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/55 tires that give the hybrid crossover a more dynamic appearance.

Over to the interior, Chery was busy giving the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid plenty of high-grade amenities. All of the seats are wrapped in leatherette while the driver’s seat is power-adjustable. It also has automatic climate control with rear vents to keep the passengers cool at all times. Providing infotainment is a 10.25-inch touchscreen display that not only supports Bluetooth and USB, but also Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for seamless phone connectivity.

Other features inside the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid include; a wireless phone charger, push-button start, USB charging ports for the front and rear, a power sunroof, a tire pressure monitoring system, and an electronic parking brake.

As mentioned before, the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s assisted by a 48V belt-starter generator. Like the Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, it makes 156 PS along with 230 Nm of torque. It is then paired to a CVT with 9-simulated gear ratios. It also benefits from an auto start/stop system to help save on fuel, along with a multi-link rear suspension for improved ride and handling.

When it comes to safety features, the electrified crossover gets the following; anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control system, hill-start assist, a 360-degree camera system, reverse parking sensors, and 6 airbags.

The 2024 Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid is now available for inquiries and reservations at authorized Chery dealerships nationwide. There will also be a non-hybrid version of the crossover called the Tiggo 5X Pro. It loses the turbo-hybrid engine and the red accents on the interior.
